Trying something new with your baby can bring questions, and we’re here to help!

What are the T.I.C.K.S. babywearing safety guidelines

The T.I.C.K.S. guidelines are a set of safety principles designed to ensure your baby is safe and secure while being carried in a sling or carrier. We follow these guidelines in our Baby Sling Yoga classes to keep both you and your little one comfortable and supported.

🔹 T – Tight – Your baby should be held snugly against your body to avoid slumping, which could restrict their breathing.
🔹 I – In View at All Times – You should always be able to see your baby’s face without needing to move the fabric.
🔹 C – Close Enough to Kiss – Your baby’s head should be close enough for you to tilt your head down and kiss them easily.
🔹 K – Keep Chin Off Chest – Ensure there is at least a finger-width space under your baby’s chin to maintain an open airway.
🔹 S – Supported Back – Your baby’s back should be naturally curved and well-supported, with their tummy and chest snug against you.

What if my baby cries or needs a break?

That’s absolutely ok! All babies are welcome, however, they’re feeling. If your baby needs feeding, soothing, or a little break, we have breakout areas where you can step out for a moment and rejoin when you’re ready. This is a no-judgment, baby-friendly space!

Do I need any yoga experience?

Not at all! Our classes are designed for complete beginners as well as those with yoga experience. The focus is on gentle movement, breathwork, and connection, rather than complex poses.

Do I need to check with my GP before attending Baby Sling Yoga?

Yes, you must consult with your GP, midwife, or healthcare provider before attending our classes. This is to ensure that both you and your baby are medically fit for babywearing and gentle yoga exercises. By booking a class, we will presume that you have received medical clearance from your GP and that you are safe to participate. If you have had a C-section, complications during birth, or any ongoing health concerns, it is especially important to get medical approval before joining.

What should I bring to class?

We recommend bringing:
✔️ A comfortable, secure baby sling or carrier
✔️ A cushion - optional
✔️ A water bottle to stay hydrated
✔️ Anything your baby might need (milk, snacks, nappies, comforter, etc.)

How long is each class?

Each session lasts around 45-60 minutes, giving you and your baby enough time to enjoy the practice without feeling rushed.

What is your cancellation policy
